Integrated Programs (JDIP)
JDIP
is an acronym for Johne's Disease
Integrated Program, a comprehensive consortium of scientists
whose mission is to promote animal biosecurity through the
development and support of projects that are designed specifically
to enhance knowledge, promote education, develop real-world
solutions and mitigate losses associated with
Johne's Disease
(JD). The primary benefit of coming together is
to promote efficiencies through collaborative research and sharing
the intellectual and physical resources that are critical to overall
success.

Johne’s
Demonstration Herds
In
2002, the National Johne's Disease Demonstration Project was
proposed by an Ad Hoc Steering Committee of the U.S. Animal Health
Association (USAHA) Committee on Johne's Disease with the objective
"to develop and validate model strategies for control of Johne's
Disease." In fiscal year 2003, $1.5 million was allocated to develop
and support the project by continuing to fund it for at least 5
years.
